Open Until Filled GENERAL DESCRIPTION: A Petroleum Engineer for the WOGCC reviews and evaluates nearly all actions and activity that take place in the oil and gas industry in Wyoming to ensure compliance with Wyoming Statute and WOGCC Rules and Regulations. They are responsible for ensuring orderly oil and gas development, protecting correlative rights, and preventing waste by performing key duties, some of which are APD review, sundry notice review, acting as a hearing examiner, and regulating injection and disposal wells.

The position requires the employee to have a B.S. in Engineering. Also, an FE is required.

The employee must have a working knowledge of all aspects of the oil and gas operations from permitting (regulatory), reservoir drilling, completions, production, facilities, and plugging of wells to be effective in this role. Knowledge of geology and a competent understanding of the engineering principles used to evaluate oil and gas processes.

Education: Bachelor's Degree (typically in The Sciences) Experience: 3-5 years of progressive work experience (typically in The Sciences) with acquired knowledge at the level of a Natural Resources Program Supervisor OR Education & Experience Substitution: 6-8 years of progressive work (typically in The Sciences) with acquired knowledge at the level of a Natural Resources Program Supervisor Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Specific to each agency, please refer to recruitment. Specific to this agency: An FE is required.

Participation in the various groups as Wyoming's representative requires extensive travel.
