This individual will also provide support to the office functioning as a front window receptionist, handling telephone communication, and performing miscellaneous general clerical tasks (e.g. creating new medical charts, filing, processing and delivering departmental mail, chart preparation and labeling, , answering phones, and other duties as assigned). Must demonstrate excellent communication, customer service, interpersonal skills as well as ability to handle multiple tasks in a timely & accurate manner. Working knowledge of Excel and Microsoft Word and familiarity of medical terminology preferred. Minimum Qualifications: The NYS Department of Civil Service has developed the NY HELPS program. During this program, the NYS Civil Service Exam requirements are suspended for the Office Assistant 1, SG006 title.
